This post will focus on the Wedluxe wedding show inspirational decor trends & amazing wedding cakes!
I was able to scope out the wedding decor trends of the show. They included large cohesive floral arrangements. The colour palette’s ranged from soft and pastel tones to bright and loud colours. Romantic looks where achieved with candle light. Glamour was presented to brides with ample amount of glitz and glam from sparkly decor. Another trend was lace and tule trim on the tablecloths. Some designers used mother nature as inspiration and included environmental aspects within their designs such as moss, wood, leaves.
Here are some of the amazingly talented vendors with their floral designs & Wedding decor:
Covers couture & Decor inc displayed a classic spring color palette design. The soft pastel roses combined with the bright array of flowers certainly create a distinct explosion of colour. The glitter from the table cloth polishes the final look.
This beautiful white orchid design is from Creations from Gitta. The mere length of the draping orchids produce dramatic style.
Dizennio Floral had an arrangement of bright ombré floral designs. The candlelight added romance with the glitz from the linens.
My bouquet florists from Niagara on the lake, displayed tall & slender bouquets, and kept with the colour of love, red for their elegant floral display.
Forget Me Not Flowers had an abundance of crystal chandeliers and crisp white flowers that exuded beauty. The white delicate roses in combination with the frosted fruit and white willows intertwined in the white trellis created a winter wonderland appearance.
Hacienda Sarria is a hidden gem located in the heart of Kitchener Waterloo. It’s Spanish inspired courtyard, ballroom, and lounge are the ideal backdrop for weddings.
Petite Studio is a design boutique dedicated to the crafts of floristry and graphic design. Their philosophy of petiteness allows brides to have a one-of-a-kind design the is tailored to the bride. Simple and elegant.
Event Decorator enchanting deep purple design captured my eye. Enjoyed all the little details from the ruffled linens, the cute brooches on the purple satin napkins, and the cute little cake favours. What a delightful combination of purples!
Celebrationz inc. soft pastel colour design with delicate roses infused within the design was quite pretty. The lace trim on the linens added such sophistication to the design.
The vibrant colours and gorgeous floral design of De Rose Designs & Floral Boutique certainly was eye candy to many brides. The peach covered bench & antique luggage details completed the overall design. Pure beauty!
I love Rachel a clinglen wedding & event design. Her creativity is always inspirational and beautiful. The white orchids with the delightful pink roses create such a fresh setting for a wedding.
Prelude To A Kiss wedding stylists had such charming wedding arrangements. I absolutely enjoyed the purple and teal butterflies. It was like a fantasy wedding with the charming candle light.
Fete Boutique Floral and Events had this exquisite peacock. It reminded me of Preston Bailey’s beautiful peacock arrangements.
Royal Orchids Florist had various brooches bouquets and beautiful cascading floral designs.
This section will discuss the yummy CAKES, CAKES, CAKES!
All the wedding cakes were very desirable to the eyes and my tummy. The trends spotted in the pastry section were intricate designs on the cakes. I noticed cakes with hand painted artistry. In addition, gold accents were common amongst the tendency of some of the baked art pieces. Sugar hand made floral accents were also a typical decorative piece to the cakes. The hottest trends in weddings are macaroon towers, cupcakes, and meringue on sweet tables.
Truffle Cake & Pastry featured a scrumptious array of cakes & pastries.
The Cake Museum had such artistic & creative work. I loved the unique cakes, especially the “edible blood” expelling from the red velvet cake. I love that Ida, owner of The Cake Museum, was able to step “outside of the box” of typical wedding cakes and reflect a more specialized style. This gothic theme shows the “darker side of love” inspired by the Twilight series, the late Alexander McQueen, and Walking Dead series.
Connie cupcakes inc. had such delightful edible pieces of art. My eyes and stomach was attracted to the enticing treats. The delicate floral designs are perfect for any brides fairy-tale wedding.
Cake Opera The meticulous amount of character of these artistic edible cakes was superb. The Victorian era inspired cakes by brilliant artist Alexandria Pellegrino and accomplished pastry chef Jessica Smith are extraordinary. The golden macaroons and golden accents complete the antique appearance.
Cakes by Konstadin had classic white wedding cakes. The clean lines create simple but elegant edible art.
Patricia’s cake creations had such pretty cakes. I was able to taste their cookie with a gorgeous lace embellishment. It was quite yummy. They had such elaborate details on their cakes such as their beautiful sugar flowers.
The latest trends to weddings are late night station and dessert tables. LOL Candy designs candy buffets tables for party & weddings. They allow brides to customize the decor & stations including gourmet sweet gifts bags & favours.
